CSK vs SRH | Twitter rolls over the floor laughing as Jadeja bangs his bat after umpire asks for change of willow

Trying to convince umpires on the field of play during a game is common these days. But Ravindra Jadeja went that extra bit to make his point to the rule keepers during the CSK vs SRH game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Friday as he tried his best to keep his bat after a change was ordered.

‌Put into bat in the battle of bottom dwellers, CSK started off with the hope of spreading cheer among the yellow army at Chepauk on Friday with Ayush Mhatre going all guns pushing the score to 37/1 after four overs.

However, Sam Curran, who looked in all sorts of trouble after being sent in at three, was dismissed by Harshal Patel off the third ball of his first over. And just as Ravindra Jadeja walked in, the umpires rushed in to check whether his willow passed through their equipment.

It has been a familiar scene in this IPL with umpires being given full authority to check bats at any point during the game. But unfortunately for Jadeja the bat failed to go through leading to comedy and confusion. A bewildered Jadeja, in a herculean effort to continue with the same equipment, banged the bat on the ground to make it pass through.

However the opponents and the umpires were not amused as Jadeja had to finally get a new bat from the dressing room. Twitterattis were in splits by Jadeja’s reaction and could not stop laughing.

Hahahaha!

Bat check!

LOL!

That was funny!

These days this is the trend!

Yeah!

Umm!

Jaddu didn't hold for long!

Wait what?
