Masters Champions League confirms Dada's participation

Former Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly will be taking part in the Masters Champions League (MCL) which is set to start from January 28 next year. The tournament will give retired cricketers another chance to take to the field.

The Bengal Tiger, as he his fondly called by his fans will be seen in the same side as legends Brian Lara and Wasim Akram.

"We are happy to announce Sourav Ganguly as a member of our team. We are privileged to have  such a player like him in our side. We wish to give quality entertainment to the fans through this league," the Libra Legends co­owner Pooja Jhunjhunwala said, as quoted by NDTV.

The league has already got the approval of the International Cricket Council (ICC) and will feature Adam Gilchrist, Wasim Akram, Virender Sehwag, Jacques Kallis and now Sourav Ganguly. 90 cricketers will be taking part in the league, which is distributed into 6 teams (15 members each). 

The matches will take place in different stadia of UAE. The tournament will take place from January 28 and goes on till February 14 next year and the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Abu Dhabi's Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium and Sharjhah Cricket Stadium will be hosting the  matches.
