After the confirmation of Sassuolo’s promotion to Serie A, Juventus are set to receive a financial boost of up to €5 million. Sassuolo secured their return to the top flight with a dominant 3-1 win over Modena, taking them to 75 points in Serie B and ensuring a top-two finish with five matches remaining. They currently sit 16 points ahead of third-placed Spezia, making their promotion mathematically certain.

This achievement has triggered a transfer clause involving Juventus defender Tarik Muharemovic, who joined Sassuolo on loan last summer. The 22-year-old Bosnian has impressed with consistent performances under manager Fabio Grosso, making 25 appearances across Serie B and the Coppa Italia, and contributing two goals and an assist. As part of the loan agreement, Sassuolo are now obliged to buy Muharemovic for a fixed fee of €2.5 million, with additional bonuses potentially raising the total deal to around €5 million.

Juventus also retain a 50% sell-on clause, which means the club could earn more if Muharemovic is sold in the future to a bigger club. The deal not only strengthens Sassuolo’s squad for Serie A return but also provides Juventus with both immediate financial gain and future transfer potential.
