After the fans had their say in March, Harry Kane’s powerful header against Bayer Leverkusen in the Champions League was crowned FC Bayern’s Goal of the Month. The English striker netted the opener in the round of 16 first leg, finishing off a superb assist from Michael Olise with a perfectly timed run and header into the bottom corner.
The goal helped set the tone for Bayern’s emphatic 5-0 aggregate win over Leverkusen. Kane’s effort received 33.5% of the fan vote, edging out Leroy Sané’s goal against St. Pauli (26.1%) and Lennart Karl’s U19 strike versus Heidenheim (24.3%). Interestingly, this was Kane’s first Goal of the Month win of the season, highlighting the depth and attacking contributions throughout Bayern’s squad.
Other winners this season include Jamal Musiala (twice), Joshua Kimmich, Mathys Tel, and Kingsley Coman. The Leverkusen goal also marked Kane’s eighth in Europe at the time. Since then, he has taken his UEFA Champions League tally to 10, making him the third-highest scorer in the tournament behind Barcelona’s Raphinha (12) and Robert Lewandowski (11). In the Bundesliga, Kane remains dominant with 23 goals, further cementing his status as a key figure in Bayern’s attacking charge.
