PBKS vs CSK | Twitter reacts as Ashwin juggles his way out of poor fielder tag with sharp catch

One needs to step up and prove their worth when you're under fire for something you're criticized for. Chennai’s veteran Ravichandran Ashwin did just that against Punjab Kings, dismissing Glenn Maxwell with a clever piece of bowling that led to a brilliant juggling catch and quieted his critics.

‌Punjab had a shaky start with the bat and lost Prabhsimran Singh, Shreyas Iyer, and Marcus Stoinis within the powerplay. But the innings found some momentum thanks to Delhi youngster Priyansh Arya, who hammered a 19-ball half-century. However, wickets continued to tumble, and their marquee batter Glenn Maxwell failed to deliver once again and fell to Ravichandran Ashwin.

On the final ball of the eighth over, Ashwin bowled a full-length delivery that pitched outside the off stump. Maxwell cleared his front leg and attempted to smack it straight back with a flat-batted shot. He connected well, but the ball rocketed back at the bowler. Remarkably, Ashwin nearly lost grip of the ball on the rebound but displayed brilliant reflexes, juggling it before completing the catch. The sharp effort by Ashwin sent a dejected Maxwell packing. The Twitterverse too buzzed with admiration, applauding the veteran spinner’s quick hands.
