Paul Pogba remains linked with a move to Marseille after failing to secure a January transfer. The former Manchester United star, currently serving a ban, will be eligible to play in March. Marseille sporting director confirmed interest but questioned signing an unfit player. Meanwhile, Mason Greenwood, who played 71 games alongside Pogba at United, has already joined Marseille.

In the latest transfer developments, Marseille remain open to signing Paul Pogba despite missing out on a deal in January. The former Manchester United and Juventus midfielder, currently serving a suspension for a banned substance, will be eligible to play again in March. Initially handed a four-year ban, Pogba’s suspension was reduced, allowing him a potential return to top-flight football.

Although some former players, including Rio Ferdinand, have suggested Manchester United should offer Pogba a chance to train with the squad, the club has not pursued a deal. Pogba, now 32, has played only 12 matches in the past two and a half years due to injuries and his suspension. His contract with Juventus was terminated in November, leaving him without a club.

Marseille’s sporting director, Medhi Benatia, confirmed the club’s interest but questioned the timing, as Pogba wouldn’t contribute this season. Marseille recently signed Mason Greenwood from Manchester United, and a potential Pogba move could reunite the duo, who played 71 games together. The club has also brought in Adrien Rabiot, Pierre-Emile Højbjerg, and Ismaël Bennacer, signaling their intent to strengthen the squad for the future.
