Luka Jovic was Zidane's first summer signing, as the Serbian international striker signed a 6 year deal with the club with Real Madrid paying €60 million. The 21-year-old only arrived in June, but the player hasn’t impressed in Real Madrid's difficult pre-season and could be in his way out already. According to Serbian newspapers, cited by Marca, Jovic could be loaned this upcoming season, just weeks after being brought in from Eintracht Frankfurt.
Real Madrid had a very difficult pre-season, plagued with some surprising defeats, namely the huge loss against Madrid rivals Atletico by an impressive 7-3. Despite having an injury during pre-season, Luka Jovic didn't manage to convince Zidane about his qualities, failing to score a goal yet. That has come as a big surprise with the Serbian hitman finishing last season with a very impressive 27 goals in all competitions.
This includes 17 in the Bundesliga and 10 in the Europa League, with Jovic falling just short of the Golden Boot in the latter. Despite these Serbian media claims, it's very unlikely that the player goes on loan this season, as Real Madrid sees him as a very good addition to the team.
