WATCH, BBL | Shaw’s daring reflex at boundary edge pauses Interviewer mid-sentence

The minute moments of brilliance in the field are often undermined by the batting and bowling efforts put in a cricket match. However, Lachlan Shaw ensured such didn't happen at the Adelaide Oval, courtesy of an incredible save near the boundary ropes that silenced the BBL interviewer mid-sentence.

Winning the toss in an away fixture, the new ball pacers and Todd Murphy gave a brilliant start to the Sydney Sixers, reducing the Strikers to 35/3 in five overs. However, Ollie Pope and Alex Ross stabiliased the stage with an observative approach against the spinners during the middle overs phase. Just when the pair tried to switch gear with a aerial stroke towards deep square leg, Shaw denied merry-making with jaw-dropping boundary save.

Following 65 runs midway through the innings, Jafer Chouhan came over the wicket and bowled a fuller one at the leg stump to Alex Ross. The batter sat in front and swept aerial towards deep square leg where Shaw was fielding. The youngster timed his jump at the edge of the boundary ropes, grabbed the ball mid air and jabbed it back inside the ropes before landing outside the ropes. The event took place in a jiffy, and Interviewer Jason Richardson, stationed at a couple of feets distance had the best seat in the office. Interviewing a guest in the middle of the innings, Richardson was left paused mid-sentence, courtesy of Shaw’s outstanding work at the edge of the ropes.
