‌WATCH, SA20 | Klaasen treats Shamsi with majestic six as ball lands on Durban streets

Eyeing to make it back-to-back wins, the Joburg Super Kings won the toss and elected to bat first at Kingsmead. Despite losing wickets in regular intervals, a few middle-order starts helped JSK get 169 runs on the board. In response, the hosts lost wickets in patches, and were four down by the seventh over when captain Klaasen joined Quinton de Kock at the crease. 

The pressure on the home side was evident when a big-hitter of Klaasen’s stature ate up eight balls without scoring a boundary. However, the drought didn’t last long as Shamsi felt the heat from the wicketkeeper-batter in the 10th over. The left-arm wrist spinner dragged the length short on the fifth ball of the over into the right-hander, provoking Klaasen to rock back and pull it in trademark style over deep square leg . The batter had enough time to connect the stroke off the middle of the blade, and the ball was seen soaring into the rooftop at Kingsmead before landing onto the streets.
