IPL 2020 | Ajinkya Rahane, Trent Boult, Mayank Markande get pay hike from pre-auction trade

Ajinkya Rahane, Trent Boult and Mayank Markande have all got pay raises from the new franchises that they are traded to before the IPL auction. Rahane will earn extra INR 1.25 crores while Boult will earn an extra INR 1 crore and Markande made the most profit of all, earning extra INR 1.8 crores.

Ajinkya Rahane, Trent Boult and Mayank Markande have all profited from their pre-auction moves to their respective IPL franchises. Rahane will now earn INR 5.25 crores playing for Delhi Capitals while his earlier price tag at the royals was Rs.4 crores. Trent Boult will earn an extra 1 crore as Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 3.2 crores from Delhi Capitals who originally had him for INR 2.2 crores.

Mayank Markande was the biggest winner though, being bought by Rajasthan Royals for INR 2 crores from Delhi Capitals, who had traded him from Mumbai Indians for INR 20 lakhs.

There were a total of 11 trades that happened and another big name to be traded was Kings XI Punjab skipper Ravichandran Ashwin who will now play for the Delhi capitals who bought him for a hammer price of INR 7.6 crores and in return gave Jagdeesha Suchith for INR 20 Lakhs. Rajasthan Royals got two spinners in the form of Rahul Tewatia (3 crores) and Mayank Markande (2 crores). Markande was in fact first traded from defending champions Mumbai Indians for 2 crores and Mumbai in return got West Indian power-hitter Sherfane Rutherford from the Delhi-based franchise.
