Twitter reacts to Rohit Sharma pointing finger at dressing room for his redemption act at slip

After dropping a catch off Mushfiqur Rahim in the first session, Rohit Sharma went back to the drawing board to practise slip catching with R Sridhar during lunch. That had a positive ripple effect as the opener took a catch at slip, after which he gestured to the dressing room for his success.

After what Ajinkya Rahane did in the first inning, Indian slip fielding had come under intense scrutiny once again, and it needed a redemption act to ensure that everything was alright. To add insult to injury, Rohit dropped a straightforward catch at second slip to give Mushfiqur Rahim a chance in the 17th over, and he was visibly furious at himself. To rectify the wrongs he committed, Rohit made sure that he had a practice session for slip catching with coach R Sridhar and seemed to have been on a good nick there. The practice reflected on his fielding at slip in the second session when Mohammed Shami induced an edge off Mahmudullah Riyad in the 27th over of the innings. The Mumbaikar was on point this time and grabbed the offering to send Bangladesh’s fifth batsman back to the pavilion. All seemed well but Rohit didn’t forget to gesture that to Sridhar, whose efforts were all worth it. The fielding coach, who has been underfire recently, had a beaming smile on his face.

Ridiculous Rohit Sharma!😂

Did he say Ben Stokes??😅

Brilliant from Hitman!

Great comeback from Rohit post lunch

Hahahahahha! LOL.
