Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh on Tuesday said that he felt his flow was back after his performance against Sri Lanka yesterday. Yuvraj had showed glimpses of his old self against Sri Lanka scoring 35 off 18 balls to form a 51-run partnership along with Virat Kohli to guide India to a five-wicket win.

When Yuvraj Singh walked on to the pitch at the Shere Bangla stadium in Mirpur yesterday after the departure of Suresh Raina, India still needed 69 off 53 balls. The southpaw slashed the second ball he faced over backward point to signal his arrival before smashing left arm spinner Rangana Herath for two sixes in the arc between long on and mid-wicket.

After the 35-run knock off 18 balls, Yuvraj shared his feeling about the innings in an interaction with the bcci.tv.

"Today was one of those days where I felt my flow was back. I needed a bit of a flow out there to feel good. I felt that my game is back. I have been trying to get as much batting time as possible and I believe I have been picking up slowly," Yuvraj told bcci.tv

Although he looked a bit uncomfortable facing the fast bowlers, the left-hander targeted the gentle spin of Herath to up the scoring rate.

"I was assessing which bowlers I am going to attack and which bowlers I won't. I told myself that if a left-arm spinner is bowling, then I am going to go and attack straight away. Any left-hand batsman who can hit sixes will go after left-arm spin … Tonight I just wanted to be positive and hit the ball straight away and deliver for the team," the 34-year old said.

Yuvraj also received praise from former Indian captain Sunil Gavaskar for his knock against Sri Lanka, with Gavaskar terming the knock against Pakistan as the turning point in the star's comeback. The 2011 World Cup hero also felt that the innings against Pakistan helped him in getting his touch back.

"Last game, it was a different situation where we needed to take a spell out and get a partnership going. I took my time out there where I could leave a lot of balls and get a partnership going along with Virat Kohli. It was a small total so I could take a lot of time," Yuvraj said.
