Juventus dropped out of Serie A top four after a 1–0 loss to Parma, who earned their first win in two months with a Mateo Pellegrino header. Juve now sit fifth, one point behind Bologna. Dusan Vlahovic suffered a thigh injury, while Lazio and Fiorentina also closed the gap in the race for Champions League spots.

After the passing of Pope Francis, Serie A rescheduled four matches, including Juventus' crucial fixture against Parma. In a surprising twist, Juve fell 1–0 at Parma on Wednesday, with Mateo Pellegrino’s powerful header just before half-time sealing the home side’s first win in two months. The result saw Parma pull six points clear of the relegation zone and ended their run of six consecutive draws.

For Juventus, the loss was costly as they dropped out of the top four, slipping to fifth place, now one point behind Bologna in the race for Champions League qualification. The defeat was also Igor Tudor’s first since taking over as Juve manager. To make matters worse, striker Dusan Vlahovic was taken off at half-time with a suspected thigh injury and is set to miss the upcoming clash with Monza.

Elsewhere, Lazio capitalized on the result with a 2–0 win at Genoa, drawing level with Juventus at 59 points. Goals from Valentin Castellanos and Boulaye Dia sealed the win despite a late red card for Reda Belahyane. Fiorentina also stayed in the mix with a 2–1 comeback win at Cagliari, joining the tight race for a top-four finish.
