Age doesn’t define your fitness, whether you’re 43 years old or a 17-year-old kid. Such was the scene in the game between Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, where Ayush Mhatre showed great resilience and balance at the ropes and took a superb catch to dismiss Rinku Singh.

‌With no playoff hopes, Chennai Super Kings faced Kolkata Knight Riders in a pride battle at Eden Gardens, where KKR skipper Ajinkya Rahane chose to bat first. Despite losing Gurbaz early, Rahane and Sunil Narine powered KKR to 67/1 by the end of the powerplay. Momentum swung CSK’s way when Noor Ahmad dismissed Narine and Raghuvanshi in the eighth over, followed by Jadeja removing a well-set Rahane for 48. A brief 46-run stand between Manish Pandey and Andre Russell steadied things before Noor returned to dismiss Russell and Rinku Singh, tightening CSK’s grip.

On the third delivery of the 19th over, Noor Ahmad bowled a short, googly around off. The left-hander moved across the stumps and attempted a pull shot but failed to generate enough distance. Positioned at deep backward square leg, young Mumbai fielder Mhatre timed his jump well, reaching up with fingers pointed skyward. Though he initially juggled the ball, he managed to secure it cleanly on the second attempt while maintaining his balance. The third umpire confirmed the catch, and Mhatre's athletic effort drew praise across social media, with many highlighting his impressive fitness.
