Taking catches near the boundary has become fairly routine lately, but occasionally, a player raises the bar. Chennai Super Kings’ new signing Dewald Brevis pulled off something extraordinary, displaying sheer brilliance by completing a stunning boundary catch with a remarkable double juggle.

‌Chennai Super Kings suffered yet another batting collapse, with no batter crossing 35 apart from Sam Curran. The English all-rounder stood tall amid the chaos, unleashing a superb 88 off 47 balls to drag the hosts to 190 before they were bowled out. Among Punjab’s bowlers, it was Yuzvendra Chahal who stole the spotlight with a sensational hat-trick. In response, Punjab lost Priyansh Arya early in the fifth over, but half-centuries from Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer steadied the chase and set the foundation for a convincing win. Amid the run chase, Dewald Brevis produced a jaw-dropping moment that grabbed everyone’s attention.

On the third ball of the 18th over, Ravindra Jadeja fired in a flatter delivery on the stumps. Shashank Singh rocked back and launched it high towards deep mid-wicket. It seemed destined for six, but Brevis had other plans. Tracking the ball with precision, he timed his jump perfectly and caught it mid-air near the rope. Realising his momentum would carry him over the boundary, he flicked the ball up before stepping out, re-entered the field to grab it again, but was forced to repeat the act as he again neared the rope. With incredible awareness and athleticism, he tapped it up once more, stepped out, came back in, and completed the catch cleanly. The third umpire was called into action, but replays confirmed it was a legitimate dismissal. Brevis’s incredible effort left fans stunned, sparking a flurry of praise across social media.
