After scoring 29 points and winning the game for the Bulls on his own against Bengal Warriors, Pawan Sehrawat has stated that he plays for the team and doesn’t look at the record books. Bengaluru skipper Rohit Kumar has mentioned that he is extremely pleased with the win against Bengal.

Pawan Sehrawat’s heroics helped the Bulls register a hard-fought win against Bengal Warriors on Saturday. The star raider of Bengaluru scored 29 raid points from 30 attempts but fell short by five points off the record for the most raid points in a match in the history of the league, which belongs to Pardeep Narwal.

However, when asked about the same after the game, Pawan said that his main focus is getting the result in his team’s favour and he is more concerned about that and not on his own records.

“I play for the team, not records. I play according to the match situation. Towards the end, our defence was outstanding. Records are not as important as the team is. So, ‘team-first’ is my mindset,” Pawan was quoted as saying by the PKL website.

Rohit Kumar was a happy captain and was delighted with the result going in their favour towards the end. He had collected only one point from six raids last evening and when questioned about the same, the Bulls captain said that he doesn’t feel the need to raid.

“I am extremely pleased with the team and Pawan’s performances. He’s extremely efficient and it really helps me as a captain. My job is to stay on the mat and marshal the troops. With Pawan raiding so well, I don’t feel the need to raid as much. So, it’s a big bonus,” skipper Rohit expressed.
