Chelsea are targeting Nottingham Forest Ola Aina, who has made 30 appearances this season, as they plan defensive reinforcements. Meanwhile, Chelsea have also shortlisted Denzel Dumfries for the right-back role.

Regarding the upcoming transfer window, Chelsea are reportedly targeting Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina to strengthen their backline after another inconsistent season. Despite significant investment last summer, key signings like Pedro Neto and Joao Felix failed to deliver, with Felix leaving for AC Milan on loan. Currently battling for a top-four finish, Chelsea are expected to make major changes under manager Enzo Maresca.

According to TBR Football, Aina has been scouted by Chelsea in recent weeks due to his impressive form for Forest. The 28-year-old right-back has made 30 appearances this season, playing a crucial role in helping Forest secure third place in the Premier League table. Alongside teammates Chris Wood and Morgan Gibbs-White, Aina has been vital in Forest’s push for Champions League qualification.

Aina, a Chelsea academy graduate, is also attracting attention from the Saudi Pro League, where former Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo now works. While Forest are working on a new deal to extend Aina’s contract, which expires this summer, they hold a 12-month extension option.

Chelsea have also shortlisted Denzel Dumfries for the right-back role but have already secured Geovany Quenda from Sporting Lisbon as their first summer signing, signaling an early start to their transfer business.
