Tottenham are preparing a record £80m bid for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo after missing out on Morgan Gibbs-White. Just like the collapsed move for Morgan Gibbs-White, Tottenham Hotspur are now shifting their focus toward a bigger target, Real Madrid’s Rodrygo in a potential record-breaking £80 million deal. Spurs initially triggered Gibbs-White’s £60 million release clause, with a medical planned, but Nottingham Forest halted negotiations and the midfielder re-signed with his current club. With that budget now redirected, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has reportedly greenlit a fresh offensive to sign Rodrygo.

The Brazilian forward, who can play across all attacking positions, is seen as a transformative signing for manager Thomas Frank. Rodrygo’s impressive stats at Real Madrid include 18 goals and 9 assists in the 2022/23 season and 13 goals and 10 assists in 2024/25, underlining his attacking prowess.
