Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is more desperate than ever to quit Manchester United, with reports indicating that he will make a fresh attempt to leave the club in January. The mercurial midfielder has had his ups and downs for the Red Devils but has been amongst their best players so far.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer snubbed Pogba and handed the captain’s armband to Axel Tuanzebe in the absence of Ashley Young and David De Gea. This has supposedly caused dissatisfaction to Pogba who is one of the more senior stars at the club. The former Juventus man was also not among the five penalty takers for United, in which they won 5-3. Paul Pogba had since been relieved of the penalty duties after his penalty miss against Wolves.

However, Solskjaer publicly backed Marcus Rashford to be the permanent penalty taker after Pogba’s miss. The Sun’s report also states that it is not clear whether the player refused to put himself in the penalty takers list or Solskjaer simply decided not to pick him. Pogba has already made up his mind on leaving Old Trafford in the next transfer window.

At the start of the season, it seemed that Pogba was convinced by Solskjaer that the midfielder was the heart of United midfield. To please Pogba, the Norwegian also praised his positive attitude during the pre-season tour of Australia. However, looking at the current situation Pogba is displeased again and feels he is being made a scapegoat of United’s poor performances.

The World Cup winner is not going to sign an extension to the current contract, despite being offered a lucrative new deal by the Red Devils. Reports add that he just wants to find his way out of United and will push for a move this January.
