The rise of T20 cricket has brought fans countless spectacular sixes, and Andre Russell of Kolkata Knight Riders is among the best at it. One of his most memorable birthday moments came when he launched a massive 106-meter six off Mitchell Starc, sending it to the stadium's second tier.

‌Opting to bowl first, Delhi captain Axar Patel's strategy faltered as KKR's openers, Sunil Narine and Rahmanullah Gurbaz, set off to a blazing start, racing to 48/0 in just 2.5 overs. Though KKR lost wickets in the middle overs to spin, with Narine, Rahane, and Venkatesh Iyer falling, they kept the pressure on thanks to Rinku Singh and Angkrish Raghuvanshi's vital contributions, reaching 142/4 by the 14th over. A breakthrough for Delhi came in the 17th over, when Chameera dismissed Raghuvanshi. Additionally, Andre Russell showcased his power at the death by smoking a humongous six off Mitchell Starc.

On the first ball of the 20th over, Mitchell Starc delivered a low full toss at 142.2 km/h, aiming for the off stump. Getting deep into his crease, Andre Russell got under the ball and swung powerfully. The result was a monstrous six, with the ball traveling 106 meters over the sightscreen. It sailed so high and far that it landed in the second tier of the stands. Fans and commentators flooded social media, amazed by Russell’s strength and celebrating his birthday special shot.
