Running between the wickets often demands peak fitness and energy, qualities Virat Kohli consistently brings to the table. That was on full display during his partnership with Devdutt Padikkal against Punjab Kings when they ran four runs between the wickets, showing incredible fitness.

Chasing Punjab’s 157/6, RCB had a shaky start as their in-form opener Phil Salt was dismissed by Arshdeep Singh in the very first over. However, Virat Kohli and Devdutt Padikkal stepped up to steady the ship, guiding RCB to 54/1 by the end of the powerplay. During their partnership, one particular moment stood out—a display of exceptional fitness and agility from both batters as they ran four runs between the wickets, underlining their sharp game awareness and supreme athleticism.

On the final ball of the third over, Arshdeep Singh bowled a back-of-a-length delivery on middle and leg. Devdutt Padikkal neatly tucked it through the mid-wicket region. Nehal Wadhera, stationed at deep square leg, sprinted to his right and managed to stop the ball with his foot. However, he was a tad slow in picking it up and releasing the throw. Sensing the opportunity, Padikkal and Kohli showcased their top-tier fitness and awareness, running four quick runs between the wickets. Nehal’s effort was left unrewarded, and social media couldn’t stop talking about Kohli’s relentless energy and elite running game.
