As per recent developments on the IPL 2024 fixtures, the remaining part of the mega-event is likely to resume on April 8. The tournament is likely to go without any breaks and continue in India with Chennai and Ahmedabad as the speculated venues for the playoffs to be held between May 21 and 26.

The idea of IPL being staged in the UAE due to the country’s General Elections has been ruled out as the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) seems to have managed to pull off the permutation and combination to arrange the lucrative event in India itself. The Playoffs are likely to begin on May 21 with the first Qualifier and Eliminator to be staged in Ahmedabad followed by Qualifier 2 and Final in Ahmedabad.

Having unleashed the dates for the first 21 games of IPL 2024, the 22nd game is likely to be featured by the Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at the MA Chidambaram Stadium. There are a couple of Punjab Kings’ fixtures scheduled in their second home Dharamsala as well. Even Rajasthan Royals are going to play two matches in their second home base i.e. Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati with the last league match against KKR being one of them.
