Whatever happens, happens for good and is adorned with jubilation. Such was the scene with the Men in Blue as they finally departed from Barbados, four days after their triumphant T20 WC victory, they were seen exuding joy and excitement as they eagerly anticipated their return to India.

The anticipation at AIC24WC reached its zenith as India awaited the return of their triumphant heroes, delayed by Hurricane Beryl from departing Barbados. Finally, after a four-day wait due to inclement weather, Air India's chartered flight took off at 4:50 AM local time on Wednesday. Social media handles of the Indian contingent soon buzzed with homecoming quotes and snapshots of players proudly clutching the coveted silverware.

In a video shared by the BCCI, the Indian players were captured celebrating high above the clouds on their journey to Delhi. The Indian skipper, known for his emotional note after the World Cup win, transformed into a spirited persona and playfully posed with the trophy. Rishabh Pant's infectious smile alongside the trophy warmed hearts, while Jasprit Bumrah's excitement was palpable as he shared the moment with his son, Angad. The trend of selfies commenced with Arshdeep Singh and Mohammed Siraj engaging in playful banter while capturing candid moments.

Reflecting on their monumental achievement, Siraj humbly expressed, "We poured our hearts and souls into winning this trophy. I feel immensely blessed."

Touching down at Delhi airport around 6 AM, the team made their way to the prestigious ITC Maurya hotel. Soon after they met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence who congratulated the squad for their performance in the USA and Caribbean. Later today, the team is set to embark on a celebratory rally from Mumbai's iconic Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium scheduled for 5 PM.
