IND vs WI 2022 | Kieron Pollard becomes 1st West Indies player to feature in 100 T20Is

India won the second T20I against West Indies by eight runs and ensured a series victory against the opposition in a three-match series. The team defended a target of 187 under dew bowling on tight lines and lengths to win the match. West Indies lost the match but it was a special occasion for Kieron Pollard. He became the first West Indies player to play in 100 T20Is during the match. 

Kieron Pollard is 9th to complete 100 T20I fixtures. Shoaib Malik is on the top of the list with 124 matches and Rohit Sharma has featured in 121 fixtures. Pollard has scored 1561 runs so far in his T20I career and has bagged 42 wickets. Ahead of the game, Pollard was honored in the team huddle as Jason Holder gave him his 100th T20I cap and Nicholas Pooran handed him the jersey. 

The last match of the series will be a dead rubber but Pollard’s team will be looking for a victory as it will give them some confidence.
