Nepal's Paras Khadka has signed up for Team Abu Dhabi in the Abu Dhabi T10 league. The all-rounder, who was picked as an ‘international community promoter’, is pretty excited to get going in the shortest format of the game as he shared that he likes to compete against the best in the world.

Team Abu Dhabi, a franchise in the Abu Dhabi T10 league, has roped in former Nepal skipper Paras Khadka. The franchise has the likes of Englishmen Moeen Ali, Luke Wright, Harry Gurney, Lewis Gregory, Richard Gleeson and Alex Davies in their ranks.

“It is an honour to be joining Team Abu Dhabi and I can’t wait to be involved in this incredibly exciting tournament. I know the matches are going to be intense, but I love playing against the world’s best. I’m hoping to see the Nepalese flag flying high in the stands of Zayed Cricket Stadium when I play next month,” The Cricketer quoted Khadka.

Paras relinquished the reigns of the Nepal cricket team a day after Cricket Nepal was reinstated by the ICC on a conditional basis, having been suspended in 2016 for breaching ICC regulations in relation to government interference.

Paras has been the man behind Nepal’s steady rise in world rankings as he holds the record of being the first Nepalese player to hit a T20I ton, which came in a nine-wicket win over Singapore. He also leads Nepal to their first-ever ODI series win against UAE in January. Khadka's 115, the first ton by a Nepalese in ODIs, was the highlight of the career.
