Jasprit Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me, states Abdul Razzaq

Former Pakistan all-rounder Abdul Razzaq has claimed that Jasprit Bumrah is like a baby bowler to him as he had already faced many legends in his time. Bumrah has been tormenting batsmen in all three formats since his debut but Razzaq stated that he would have had no difficulty in dominating him.

Having made his red-ball debut against South Africa in 2018, Bumrah, in no time, has become India's talisman and was one of the very important reasons why India ended up winning their first-ever Test series against Australia Down Under. Bumrah is currently the number 1 bowler in the ODI format even though he has been out with a stress fracture for a while now and is looking to get back in full rhythm and proper shape.

But it seems that Abdul Razzaq is not at all intimidated by this fact as he instead stated Bumrah as a baby bowler in front of legends like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram.

"After having faced world-class bowlers in my time, I would have had no problem against a bowler like Bumrah. The pressure would have been on him," Razzaq told Cricket Pakistan.

"I have played against great bowlers like Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram, so Bumrah is a baby bowler in front of me and I could have easily dominated and attacked him," he further added.

Razzaq has had quite a lot of experience having already played 46 Tests, 265 ODIs and 32 T20Is for Pakistan. Although he feels he can play Bumrah easily, he rates him highly and explains why he is such an effective bowler.

"Bumrah is doing very well and has improved a lot. He has an awkward action and hits the seam perfectly which is why he is effective," Razzaq asserted.
