English wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow used Sachin Tendulkar's signature upper cut to perfection when Kagiso Rabada attacked him with a bouncer on the fourth day of the third Test between England and South Africa. Bairstow's quick fire 63 helped the hosts put up a colossal target of 492.

Cricketing God Sachin Tendulkar was known for playing classy cover drives and hitting the bowlers straight down the ground. But a scintillating shot that the legendary batsman made his very own was the upper cut which he used to counter the vicious bouncers bowled by the likes of Shoaib Akhtar, Brett Lee, and other fast bowlers.

English wicketkeeper-batsman Bairstow channelised his inner Tendulkar when Kagiso Rabada tried to throw him off with a well-directed bouncer during England's second innings in the ongoing third Test. Rabada chose the last delivery of the 69th over to try and catch Bairstow off-guard as he bowled a fast paced bouncer directed at the Englishman's body.

However, the English wicketkeeper was at his innovative best as he utilised the bouncer to his advantage as he bent his back and guided the ball using the middle of his bat over Quinton de Kock's head for a boundary. Rabada, on the other hand, couldn't stop himself from acknowledging the brilliant batting display and nodded his head showing his appreciation.

You can watch Bairstow's brilliance here:

Bairstow's 58-ball 63 was studded with six fours and a six which helped the hosts post a colossal target of 492 on the board. In response, South Africa lost four wickets for only 54 leaving the Proteas on the brink of their second loss in the series. However, Dean Elgar and Temba Bavuma showed some resilience towards the end of four by remaining unbeaten at the end of the day.
