MS Dhoni has led sides for so long that it’s still hard to believe that he is not the captain of the Rising Pune Supergiant. However, Ajinkya Rahane holds that Dhoni is still the best leader and that current Pune skipper Steve Smith was seen taking advice from Dhoni during Pune's first game.

Though Pune won their first game of IPL 2017 by a comprehensive margin of 7 wickets under the leadership of Smith, Rahane has admitted that he still considers Dhoni as the best leader.

Rahane played his first match under Smith yesterday and was asked about his experience. He replied saying that though the Australian is the current skipper and has done well for his national side, he still sought advice from Dhoni and that he is learning from Dhoni as well and this is what makes Dhoni the best. Rahane also said that Smith would like to seek more advice from Dhoni in the coming games.

You can watch Rahane’s comments here.
