Raheem Sterling is set to return to Chelsea this summer after an underwhelming loan spell at Arsenal. The 29-year-old winger, signed on deadline day, has struggled to impress and played a secondary role under Mikel Arteta. Arsenal, aiming to strengthen their attack, will target players like Ferran Torres, Nico Williams, and Karim Adeyemi in the upcoming transfer window.
In the upcoming summer transfer window, Raheem Sterling is set to return to Chelsea after an underwhelming loan spell at Arsenal. According to The Mirror, the 29-year-old English winger joined the Gunners on deadline day as an additional attacking option but has failed to make a significant impact. Mikel Arteta has largely kept Sterling on the fringes of the squad, using him in a secondary role. Despite speculation about an early termination of his loan, Arsenal opted to keep him due to injuries to key wingers Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli. However, there are no plans for Sterling to stay beyond the current season.
Arsenal, aiming to strengthen their attacking lineup, reportedly made an unsuccessful bid for Barcelona’s Ferran Torres in January. With a major summer overhaul planned, they have identified several potential signings, including Nico Williams, Bryan Mbuemo, and Antoine Semenyo, as well as Borussia Dortmund's Karim Adeyemi. Arteta also prioritizes signing a top striker to bolster the squad.
As Sterling prepares to rejoin Chelsea, his long-term future remains uncertain. The Blues, currently in transition, will have to decide whether to reintegrate him into their squad or explore other options. Meanwhile, Arsenal remains focused on securing key reinforcements to challenge for the Premier League title next season.
