Scotland beat Namibia by five wickets in the Group B encounter in Barbados. Namibia showcased some great batting with Gerhard Erasmus scoring a half-century and putting up 155/9 but the Scottish batters, especially Richie Berrington and Micheal Leask sealed the deal for Scotland in 18.3 overs.

‌Opting to bat first after winning the toss at Barbados didn't fare well for Namibia as they lost JP Kotze, Jan Frylinck, and Nikolaas Davin within the powerplay. However, Malan Kruger and Gerhard Erasmus stabilized the innings, taking the score to 54/3 by the end of seven overs. The momentum, however, faltered as Kruger was dismissed in the eighth over. Erasmus and Zane Green then built a steady 51-run partnership, advancing the score to 97/4 by the 13th over. Despite their efforts, Namibia struggled as wickets continued to tumble. Erasmus was dismissed in the 14th over, followed by quick dismissals of David Wiese, Green, and Ruben Trumpelmann, leaving the score at 142/8 by the 19th over. JJ Smit's dismissal in the final over capped Namibia's innings at 155/9 in their allotted 20 overs.

In reply, Scotland openers George Munsey and Micheal Jones went off to a decent start scoring 19/0 in three overs. However, Tangeni Lungameni’ slow ball scalped Munsey’s wicket in the fourth over. Meanwhile, Jones and Brandon McMullen kept the scorecard ticking to 47/1 in seven overs. However, Erasmus changed the course of the game temporarily when he picked up the important wickets of Jones and McMullen in the eighth and the 10th over respectively. But Richie Berrington and Micheal Leask built a strong 74 runs stand and took the scorecard to 135/4 in 17 overs. Unfortunately, the partnership was broken by Namibia speedster Ruben Trumpelmann in the 18th over when he dismissed Leask who departed scoring a splendid 35 off 17 deliveries with the scorecard at 148/5/. With just eight runs needed of the last two overs, the match was almost sealed for Scotland. Ultimately, Scotland won the game by five wickets with nine balls to spare.
