FC Barcelona has earned $67 million (€65 million) from player transfers, including $24.8 million (€24 million) from Nico Gonzalez move to Manchester City. Other sales include Mika Faye ($10.35M), Julian Araujo ($10.35M), Chadi Riad ($9.3M), Marc Guiu ($6.2M), Unai Hernandez ($5.2M), and Estanis Pedrola ($3.1M), highlighting Sporting Director Deco smart transfer strategy.

After making strategic transfer decisions, FC Barcelona has earned a much-needed $67 million (€65 million) from player sales, as reported by SPORT. A significant portion of this revenue came from Nico Gonzalez’s move to Manchester City. Initially sold to Porto in 2023, the midfielder’s impressive performances led City to activate his $62 million (€60 million) release clause.

Due to Barcelona’s smart inclusion of a 40% sell-on clause, the club received $24.8 million (€24 million) from this deal. Additional earnings came from selling several fringe players: Mika Faye ($10.35 million/€10 million to Rennes), Julian Araujo ($10.35 million/€10 million to Bournemouth), Chadi Riad ($9.3 million/€9 million to Crystal Palace), Marc Guiu ($6.2 million/€6 million to Chelsea), Unai Hernandez ($5.2 million/€5 million to Al-Ittihad), and Estanis Pedrola ($3.1 million/€3 million to Sampdoria).

These transactions reflect the club’s improved financial strategy under Sporting Director Deco, helping Barcelona stabilize its finances after a crisis that once threatened bankruptcy. With these funds and returning to 1:1 Financial Fair Play (FFP) compliance, Barcelona could soon return to making marquee signings as in past years. Additionally, sell-on clauses in several deals may bring further financial boosts if these players secure future big-money transfers.
