Reports | Bayern Munich eye Ivan Perisic as their top Leroy Sane alternative

Bayern Munich have entered talks with Inter Milan over a move for Croatian star Ivan Perisic, as they target a new forward before the summer ends. The Bavarians were desperately chasing after Leroy Sane and Philippe Coutinho but an ACL injury dropped one move and money dropped the other.

Bayern Munich are looking to change their team this season, especially after they lost both Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery. The two forwards dominated the club’s team sheet for the better part of the last decade, flourishing and tearing defenses apart at will. However, times change and with both growing older, Bayern needs to move on.

Doing that is easier said than done, but it’s nevertheless something that Bayern have to do this season and Leroy Sane was supposed to be the way forward. The situation has now changed and Gazzetta dello Sport has reported that Ivan Perisic is now their top target. The 30-year-old is no longer a part of Antonio Conte’s plans this summer and has been placed on the transfer list as a result.

This changes a lot for the winger, who was once linked with moves to Arsenal and Tottenham, but Bayern are now keen on a move. Reports indicate that talks between Inter Milan and Bayern Munich are at an advanced stage, with the Croatian also keen on moving back to Germany.
