Mohun Bagan Committee has finally accepted the three month pending resignation of Srinjoy Bose from Assistant General Secretary position. Bose had resigned from the position in March and now Swadhin Mullick has been appointed as the new Assistant General Secretary of the club.

The Mohun Bagan Committee led by the General Secretary Anjan Mitra came to the decision of accepting the resignation. Hence, Swadhin Mullick has been appointed as the Assistant General Secretary by Mitra.

“Every decision has been taken after consultation with our advocate. I have not done anything without consulting him,” Mitra said

The acceptance of resignation can be a result of the disagreements between the General Secretary Anjan Mitra and Srinjoy Bose's father Swapan Sadhan Bose who was the former president of Mohun Bagan. In fact, on June 23 there was a public dispute between Srinjoy Bose and Chinmoy Chatterjee, who supports Mitra.

Mohun Bagan will be receiving a donation of INR 3 crores from retired judge Uma Shankar Roy. The club has decided to honour former International player Pradip Choudhary with 'Mohun Bagan Ratna’ on July 29. Further, Goalkeeper Shilton Paul will be awarded player of the season 2017-18. U-17 World Cup fame Rahim Ali and Athlete Hima Das will also be honoured on July 29.
