Mohun Bagan supporters protest outside AIFF's office after Sanjoy Sen's ban

"I reached there at 11 am and held the Mohun Bagan flag aloft. A few curious faces came out of the office before I-League CEO Sunando Dhar came out and took them back to the office. We handed over a petition also, but they were nonchalant to acknowledge that they had received the letter. We came across India coach Stephen Constantine also, who obviously didn't want to comment on the issue. Finally, Nilanjan Dutta from AIFF's media department spoke to us but he couldn't guarantee that the Federation would acknowledge our petition. We waited there till 6 pm but they didn't come out again," Ranjan Mukherjee, one of the protestors, told Goal.com.

Sanjoy Sen and Mohun Bagan have received support from all quarters, and even the East Bengal supporters have backed them against AIFF's heavy-handed decision. Sanjoy Sen's suspension will mean that he will miss the remaining matches of the I-League season, with the defending Champions protecting a slim lead at the top of the table.

The Mariners have confirmed that they will appeal against the decision, which they feel was 'harsh'.

"We are definitely going to appeal against the decision. This is a big shock, something no one thought of and is very harsh.

"We are going to write to the AIFF in due course of time and if we get a hearing we will make sure Mr. Sen attends it himself," an unnamed high-ranking club official was quoted as saying by the Goal.com.
