Ranji Trophy | ‌Dube and Surya included in Mumbai’s squad for Quarter Final against Haryana

The Mumbai Cricket Association has named the squad for the Ranji Trophy quarter-finals against Haryana with Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube included in the side. Ayush Mhatre, Siddhesh Lad, and Angkrish Raghuvanshi have been added to the squad after they made way for contracted Indian players.

Ajinkya Rahane is all set to lead Mumbai in the Quarter Final clash against Haryana starting February 8 at the Ch Bansi Lal Cricket Stadium, Rohtak. Suryakumar and Dube, who were a part of the five-match T20I series against England have been included in the 18-man squad.  

Previously, the duo were a part of the Mumbai’s encounter against Jammu and Kashmir where Dube scored a couple of ducks in two innings. They lost the game but a thumping win over Meghalaya in the last game secured their spot for the Quarter Finals.

The side also features Mumbai’s crisis man Siddhesh Lad, who scored a ton in their last league game. Shams Mulani and Akash Anand were the other centurions in the game. In addition, Raghuvanshi and Mhatre, the two young prodigies of the side have been included for the must-win clash. Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw has been sidelined as usual.

Shardul Thakur will spearhead the bowling lineup along with Tanush Kotian and Mulani taking control of the spin department. Mumbai, the defending champions will be keen on showing their dominance in the First Class competition but testing time awaits them with Haryana on the opposite side.
