‌IPL 2024 | Twitter reacts to delighted Sanjeev Goenka as Rahul covers up misfield to take stunner

The sporting fraternity has witnessed plenty of heated moments with a recent video between KL Rahul and LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka being one of the hot topics. However, the latter’s applause to boost Rahul and the team’s morale became the talk of the town on Tuesday when DC squared off against LSG.

Winning the toss and electing to field first did not yield much dividends for the visitors despite an early breakthrough in the form of Jake Fraser-McGurk. The pair of Shai Hope and Abishek Porel played their natural game to steer the Capitals deep before Rahul’s misfield turned into a brilliant catch, attracting strong applause from the team owner.

On the third ball of the ninth over, Ravi Bishnoi bowled a leg-break on a length and outside the off stump against Hope. The Caribbean star rocked back to slash it towards cover where Rahul tried to grasp the ball but the cork soon popped out. However, the skipper was quick enough to follow the deflecting kookaburra and leap sideways to end up with a screamer. Seeing the rigorous determination and endeavor of the captain, Mr. Goenka was in smiles and lauded the skipper, leaving the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
