Legendary Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been named as Maratha Arabians' icon player for the upcoming edition of the T10 League in Abu Dhabi. Yuvraj, who announced his international retirement earlier this year, will be teaming up with Lasith Malinga and Dwayne Bravo for the Arabians.

After turning up for the Toronto Nationals in GT20 Canada, Yuvraj Singh will now set his sights to the Abu Dhabi T10 league where he'll be representing the Maratha Arabians franchise. The franchise confirmed on Thursday (October 24) that the legendary Indian all-rounder will turn up for them as their 'icon player' and will in turn team up with the likes of Lasith Malinga and Dwayne Bravo.

“It is an exciting new format to be part of. I am looking forward to joining forces with some of the world’s biggest names in this league and representing team Maratha Arabians," said an ecstatic Yuvraj, reported News18.

"It is going to be a thrilling time for the game of cricket. Its heartwarming to see leagues like T10 putting in so much hard work and offering such exciting format for sports enthusiasts,” he added.

The franchise will be led by Bravo, while Australia's Chris Lynn and the Afghanistan duo of Hazratullah Zazai and Najeebullah Zadran are also a part of the side. The much-awaited T10 gala will commence on November 15.
