Twitter reacts as Ravindra Jadeja gives “death stare” to Anrich Nortje after ducking a bouncer

Anrich Nortje has so far had a tough time in Test cricket, having been smacked all over the park by the India. Today, in a desperate attempt to unsettle Ravindra Jadeja, Nortje turned to the “hit the helmet” strategy, but it was to no avail as Jadeja gave him a death stare after ducking his bouncer.

It is no secret that Ravindra Jadeja loves to get under the skin of the opposition. From Australia to England to Sri Lanka, the all-rounder has ruffled up many an opposition in the past and today, he once again reverted to the strategy of playing mind games with the opponents. It started off with him tapping the middle of the pitch with his bat, an act that clearly made Dean Elgar unhappy as he felt that Jadeja was doing it to break the pitch down in order to help him when he comes to bowl. Their feud ended with some light-hearted banter, but Jadeja was not done yet.

Anrich Nortje, who had got a proper pounding on his Test debut, was desperately looking for a breakthrough and so in an attempt to unsettle the batters, he reverted to his bouncer strategy. The speedster bowled an extremely quick bouncer to Jadeja, who had to eventually duck it as it was directed towards his helmet. But ironically, Jadeja was anything but intimidated by it, as he got back to his feet and gave Nortje a death stare, almost being dismissive of the bowler’s efforts to unsettle him. Well, better luck next time, Mr. Nortje!

Here is how Twitter reacted to the same:
