Yuvraj Singh has named India and England as favourites going into the upcoming World Cup in England and Wales. Yuvraj starred in India’s successful World Cup campaign back in 2011, where he was also named Player of the Tournament for his outstanding all-round performances.

Yuvraj Singh was the centre of attraction when India lifted the 2011 World Cup title after 28 long years. The star all-rounder has picked India and England as favourites for the quadrennial event. He also said that the return of Steve Smith and David Warner has strengthened the Australian side and West Indies too look good.

“My first two teams are England and India. Obviously with Warner and Smith coming back, Australia will be in contention. West Indies also look a very power-packed side. You can’t say much at this stage. I think it would be India and England first, third would be Australia. Fourth I don’t know. I will tell you later…,” Yuvraj said, reported Cricbuzz.

Yuvraj is also impressed by his Mumbai Indians teammate Hardik Pandya’s form and hopes he continues it in the World Cup as well. Pandya has been unstoppable with the bat as well as with the ball this season.

"Definitely, the way Pandya is batting at the moment, it is phenomenal and I hope he carries that form. He has been bowling well in patches but as I said it is all about how you handle the pressure. I just hope that Hardik has an awesome tournament, the way he is batting at the moment," Yuvraj said.
