Rohit smashed a brilliant ton to help India post a massive total on the board and their bowlers did equally well to restrict it. Rohit’s brilliance with the bat is widely-reckoned but on this occasion, he gave a testament to his witty humour as well. In the post-match conference, Rohit gave a befitting reply to a question asked by a reporter on the languishing Pakistan side.
When asked what advice he would offer to the struggling Pakistani batsmen, Rohit replied, “I’ll tell them if I ever become the coach for Pakistan.”
In Dhawan’s absence, Rohit took charge and stitched a match-winning stand alongside KL Rahul. He looked unstoppable right from the outset and Pakistan bowlers looked clueless against him. Rohit further shed light on how bidding time in England can reap fruitful results.
“They bowled, I guess, pretty well in the first half. The first 10 overs, I would say. Of course, we know in England, once you're in, it's very hard for the bowlers to come back, and there's not enough room for error," Rohit added.
Q: How do you suggest Pakistan batsmen come out of the current crisis?
