We stand by what nation wants to do, says Virat Kohli

After the ghastly terror attack on the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel in Pulwama, Jammu and Kashmir, where at least 40 jawans were killed, there have been growing calls of boycotting all sporting ties against Pakistan. The chief of Committee of Administrators (CoA) Vinod Rai had also made a statement regarding this after BCCI’s SGM on Friday.

Meanwhile, India skipper Virat Kohli has opened up now saying that the team would stand by whatever decision the India government and BCCI will take for the Indo-Pak World Cup tie, which is to be held in Manchester on June 16. Kohli also offered condolences to the family members of the martyrs before the start of the T20I series against the Aussies in Visakhapatnam. 

“Our sincere condolences to the families of CRPF soldiers who lost their lives in Pulwama Attack. We stand by what the nation wants to do and what the BCCI decides to do,” Kohli said during the pre-match press conference ahead of the first T20I against Australia.
