Virat Kohli has retained his place at the top of the recently-released ICC Test batsmen list while Cheteshwar Pujara also continued his stay at the third position. Meanwhile, Ravindra Jadeja is the only Indian among top five bowlers and all-rounders in Test matches as per the newly rankings list.

The Indian skipper has 992 points to his name in the Test rankings list and is leading the chart at the moment with Kiwi skipper Kane Williamson below him with a total of 897 points. While after a successful tour of Australia, India No. 3 Pujara is having 881 points and he is currently ranked third on the ICC list. Apart from Kohli and Pujara, there is no one from the Indian side in the top 10 of the list.

Among players from other countries, Kusal Perera took a giant leap of 58 places to reach career-best 40th place after his match-winning hundred against the Proteas which ensured a win for the Sri Lankans.

Pat Cummins became the new No. 1 among the bowlers as he displaced Kagiso Rabada from the top position. With this, the Aussie pacer became the first player from his nation to get to the first place since Glenn McGrath’s career-best rankings way back in 2006. James Anderson and Rabada are at the second and third positions respectively on the list.

With a total of 794 points, Jadeja is the only Indian inside top five on the list of the bowlers while Ravichandran Ashwin is at the 10th place with 763 points. The Saurashtra cricketer is also at the third place on the all-rounders’ list which is led by Jason Holder with Shakib-Al Hasan at the second place on the list.
