After a brilliant display of bowling by Chennai Super Kings, their in-form batsmen failed to show up in the all-important game against SRH. But Faf du Plessis rose to the occasion and showed that experience matters in games like this and the Twitterati praised him for getting CSK to the final.

Brief Scores : Sunrisers Hyderabad 139/7 (Carlos Brathwaite 43, Kane Williamson 24; Dwayne Bravo 2/25, Ravindra Jadeja 1/13) lost to Chennai Super Kings 140/8 (Faf du Plessis 67, Suresh Raina 22; Rashid Khan 2/11, Sandeep Sharma 2/30) by 2 wickets.

Dhawan departs early! Courtesy the brilliant ball from Deepak Chahar!

That was one hell of a disappearing act!

Not a good record to hold!

Dhoni must be proud man!

What a spell from Deepak Chahar!

But it was shadowed by this controversial decision!

Stunner!

SRH fans before Carlos Brathwaite went mad!

Madness!

SRH fans after the Carlos Brathwaite masterclass!

Now that is a dangerous thought!

And it came true!

Best bowling team in the IPL for a reason!

Siddarth Kaul, what was that! :O

But CSK had other plans!

What an innings from Faf! Note: Faf might be the only South African who hasn't choked while chasing!

Never write-off CSK!

People made fun of CSK for RTM-ing Faf!

Shardul Thakur: The mastermind!
