After staying away from the league for two seasons, Rajasthan Royals are coming back once again and are definitely one of the strongest sides on paper. The side that lifted the first-ever IPL title will look to replicate the feat once again as they start yet another stint in the cash-rich league.

After Royals’ involvement in the infamous 2013 IPL betting scandal, the Supreme Court of India had banned the franchise for two years. Now, the side is back to reclaim the faith and respect of the fans that have vanished by their long absence. The Royals have always been one of the underdogs in the league. Their first win in 2008 had stunned the nation, given the absence of big names in the side, under the guidance of Shane Warne as they etched their names in the history.

The Royals side this time has stalwarts like Ben Stokes and Ajinkya Rahane in the team, who, despite having the huge task of filling up the big void created by Steve Smith’s absence, are perfectly capable of taking the team all the way. The team also has youngsters like Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi and K Gowtham, who have shown their capability to perform.
