After sealing the ODI series, Indian women’s team had gifted with an opportunity to seal the T20I series in Johannesburg, but South Africa pulled one back to keep the series alive. However, the Harmanpreet Singh-led team will try to make a statement keeping an eye on the series against Australia.

Preview:

After two ordinary performances with the ball in the first T20 matches of the series, South African bowlers pulled themselves up to the occasion and were not willing to throw the towel at their fortress, the Wanderers. Their brilliant bowling performance broke the back of India's middle order completely as the visitors could only manage to score a total of 133 runs.

While Mithali Raj, Harmanpreet Kaur, Smriti Mandhana and Veda Krishnamurthy have all contributed with useful runs in the middle-order, they need to score runs at a quick rate to disrupt the rhythms of the opposition, who are flying high after the third T20I victory. On the other hand, South Africa will also be slightly concerned about the form of their opener Lizelle Lee, who has scored just 39 runs in three games so far. The Indian bowling attack, which has fared pretty well in the last two games, will look to keep the pressure on Lee to restrict the hosts from going for big hits from the beginning.
