According to reports from First Post, SRH skipper, Kane Williamson has revealed that Bhuvneshwar Kumar would be missing the match against Mumbai Indians due to injury. Reportedly, Sunrisers Hyderabad’s premier fast bowler is suffering from a back injury and has been advised to rest.
"Bhuvi did not travel with the team and is not playing the next match. Shikhar we are hoping will be fine for tomorrow," said SRH skipper, Kane Williamson.
Shikhar Dhawan had already suffered a blow to his elbow in the match against KXIP and missed the match against CSK. Having lost two consecutive matches, Sunrisers Hyderabad would be looking to get back to their winning ways.
Winning three out of their five matches, Sunrisers are currently placed fourth of the table.
Williamson was hopeful that Yusuf Pathan, who had few cramps in the match against CSK, would be fit to play the match against Mumbai Indians.
"I am not 100 per cent sure on how Yusuf is. I know he did have some cramps but hopefully he will be ok and come tomorrow night," said Williamson.
Despite having two ordinary performances against KXIP and CSK, the New Zealand skipper was confident that Afghanistan leg spinner Rashid Khan will bounce back strongly. Rashid went for 55 runs against KXIP and 49 runs against CSK, which does not happen often.
"Rashid is a world class bowler. T20 cricket does not make exemptions for any bowler to escape pressure. Any bowler can be hit, so that's the nature of the game and I suppose he has learn a huge amount in such a short period of time.
"Last couple of games, it is been a couple of special knocks, (from) people, who have played Rashid nicely but he is a world class bowler and will bounce back well. You need to embrace those challenges and I know he will," Williamson added.
