RCB skipper Virat Kohli got a taste of his own medicine last night during the match versus KKR when Delhi teammate Nitish Rana went over the top with his celebration after claiming Kohli's wicket. Rana picked up two consecutive wickets in his second over in the IPL to get KKR back into the game.

Indian skipper Virat Kohli and Nitish Rana both represent the Delhi team in the Ranji Trophy and like all Delhi-ites, they wear their temper on their sleeves. Extremely passionate and expressive when it comes to the game would be an appropriate statement to describe the pair and when tempers clash, sparks are bound to fly.

KKR’s new recruit Nitish Rana from last year’s MI squad was brought in to bowl the 15th over when RCB were at 127/2. Due to his inexperience, many thought KKR skipper Dinesh Karthik took a big risk with his introduction into the game, especially when the batsmen at the crease were SA power-hitter AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli. But followed next, took everyone by surprise at Eden Gardens and the audience at home alike.

Rana bowled a good length delivery which de Villiers badly misplaced to be caught by Mitchell Johnson who was waiting at the boundary for a catch. If that wasn’t enough, the young Rana bowled a stunning length ball that took RCB skipper Virat Kohli by surprise to clean-bowl his Delhi teammate. His passion got the better of him at that moment as he let some sparks fly, but it was taken in good spirit by Kohli who still looked flummoxed by the manner of his dismissal.

Rana ended with the over with two wickets and played an influential innings with the bat as well to hand KKR an opening victory on their home turf. Rana was awarded the Man of the Match reward as a direct result of his performance with the ball and bat in yesterday's win.
