Playing for Western Australia, Coulter-Nile opened the bowling in the fourth innings while defending a target of 364, to which he had contributed 94 runs with the bat. He started off by getting rid of Jake Doran and Alex Doolan quickly restricting the Tasmania team to 8/3 after just 3 overs. But the pacer had saved his best for former Australian captain George Bailey.
On the last ball of the seventh over of the game, Coulter-Nile bowled an inswinging full-length delivery that Bailey hit right back at him. The bowler, however, managed to sort out his feet and caught the ball cleanly. His reaction time was so little that it took Bailey a couple of seconds to realize what had just transpired as he eventually walked off.
Coulter-Nile eventually finished the day with impressive figures of 3/18 in just six overs. However, it will be that catch which will hog the headlines for all the right reasons.
