The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will take a decision regarding the future of Roger Binny and his counterparts from Central and East Zones at the annual general meeting to be held on November 9.

Since the recent debate regarding 'no conflict of interest' and the controversy surrounding Stuart Binny's selection to the national team, the senior Binny has time only till the AGM to leave on his terms. Saba Karim (East) and Rajinder Singh Hans (Central) will most definitely be asked to vacate their posts after the meeting, domestic media reported.

The 'no conflict of interest' clause states: “No member of the selection committee including the convener and the invitees i.e. the coach or captain, or their near relatives shall have any financial interest or business association with any player considered for selection to any team selected for and on behalf of BCCI.”

Although Karnataka’s Binny, a 1983 World Cup hero, has been staying away from decision making of his son's selection, his involvement in the committee violates the undertaking submitted by the officials in September.

The fate of chairman Sandeep Patil is also under the radar, due to the total revamp that the BCCI intends to do. Former India batsman Mohinder Amarnath might be his replacement, while the other three vacancies will be filled up by either Deep Dasgupta or Devang Gandhi (East), Gyandendra Pandey or Pritam Gandhe (Central), and Venkatesh Prasad or WV Raman (South).
